Create Aid

Creative Aid for a Brighter Future.

Create Aid is a humanitarian venture — a grassroots movement for the appreciation, promotion and education of the arts. We raise funds through original artwork for people in need and the causes that support them.

About

A humanitarian, equitable, for-profit, fundraising venture.

Create Aid is an online artist residency and art gallery building a grassroots movement for the appreciation, promotion and education of the arts. We raise funds through the sale of artwork for those in need and the causes that support them — and at times propose and curate creative projects that address basic and complex humanitarian issues.

“The third economic form will arise not only through the two older forms — Capitalism and Communism — first modifying and then synthesizing one another, but also through the imperative needs of our own time forcing our inventiveness and creativeness to add their special contribution.”
— Paul Brunton

Sophia Goehner
Sophia Goehner
Design, Photography + Drawing

My formative years were shaped by extensive travel, which exposed me to a diversity of cultures and ignited a lifelong passion for creative expression. I began with sketching and painting, later exploring black-and-white photography, and eventually studying both violin and piano. These early artistic pursuits laid the foundation for my formal education in Architecture at Cornell University, where I deepened my engagement with both analog and digital media. My work there often challenged conventional methodologies, weaving nuance and experimentation across multiple formats. I earned my degree in February 2010, completing a thesis that explored the relationship between agricultural production and architectural design. Today, I continue to work across disciplines, creating both two- and three-dimensional pieces in digital and traditional media—including painting and photography.
